The complete substation is now ready for offshore installation. The HSI consortium, comprising HSM Offshore Energy BV, Smulders, and Iv, is pleased to announce the successful sail-away of the OSS Jasmund topside last Saturday and jacket yesterday after years of close collaboration. The topside was built at the Stormpolder yard of HSM, while the jacket was constructed at Smuldersโ yard in Vlissingen. Both structures were loaded out safely approximately two weeks earlier. These sail-away operations mark the final major steps before offshore installation. Heerema Marine Contractors will take on this task shortly. Once completed, the wind farm will have an installed capacity of 315 MW. The Jasmund Offshore Substation is only the first of three being developed by the consortium on behalf of 50Hertz Transmission GmbH. We will continue our efforts to deliver the substations Zingst and Darร for the OST-6-1 grid connection project. #offshorewind #windenergy #energytransition #engineeringthatexcites
