A precise lift, following an extensive phase of engineering, preparation and close collaboration. Lifting the cable deck into position is one of the most critical integration steps in the project. The structure had to be positioned correctly in one single operation, as there is virtually no possibility for correction once lifted. The project now moves into the next phase in which we prepare it for load-out later this year. Smulders HSM (formed mid last year through the integration of HSM Offshore Energy and Smulders) fabricates the OSS Darß together with Iv through the HSI Joint Venture for our client 50 Hertz. OSS Darß is one of two offshore substations for the 50Hertz Transmission GmbH grid connection OST-6-1 in the Baltic Sea with approximately 900 MW capacity on a 220 kV alternating voltage level. #offshoreenergy #offshorewind #engineeringthatexcites
