Mentoring at LSE comes with a quiet privilege: every so often you meet someone you would vouch for without a second thought. For me, Anna Bezpala is one of them. Anna is finishing her MSc in Conflict and Culture in a Global Europe at the LSE European Institute this summer, and is looking for her first proper role, starting this September. She is after junior positions in external communication and public affairs in Brussels, with a pull towards culture and defence and, ideally, an EU-Ukraine or EU integration angle. I know the spark behind Anna's work well, because it is the same one I had – the European Youth Parliament (EYP) in Ukraine. For her it began in communications, and she has been building on it ever since - a bachelor's in International Communication in the Netherlands, external comms and public affairs work across Denmark and the Netherlands (Ukraine House in Denmark, Energy Academy Europe, the VATAHA Foundation, the Ukrainian Institute), and two books published during her studies, one award-winning in Ukraine - all by 21.
