We assessed a municipal building with thirty-eight Wi-Fi access points. 🏦 Twenty-two were concentrated around the lobby and conference rooms. The cafeteria, loading dock, and records archive shared two between them. The IT director’s complaint: “The Wi-Fi keeps failing.” The actual problem: nobody had surveyed the building before the access points were installed. ⚠️ Many public-building Wi-Fi problems are not equipment failures. They are placement, backhaul, interference, or channel-planning failures. Buying more access points will not fix the wrong diagnosis. Our latest article breaks down the common Wi-Fi challenges in pre-1980, 1980–2010, post-2010, and mixed-era buildings—and what to investigate before ordering more equipment. Read the building-by-building diagnostic before you buy more APs. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gQ_qNiJB #PublicSectorIT #WiFi #ITInfrastructure #MunicipalTechnology
