Not every person changing technology for good is standing on a stage. Some are improving public services. Some are widening access to digital opportunity. Some are challenging harmful systems. Some are using computing and tech to solve problems others have overlooked. The BCS Society Medal recognises individuals whose work is creating meaningful positive impact for society through computing and technology. They don’t need to be at a particular career stage. They just need to be making a real difference. If someone came to mind while reading this, they may be exactly the person this award was created to recognise.
