Yesterday, Speaker Johnson canceled a vote to stop Trump's war with Iran — because Congress finally had the votes to pull this off. This isn't a right-or-left issue — 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘳𝘰𝘯𝘨. Because here are the facts: Trump started this war nearly 3 months ago. The Constitution's clear: only Congress declares war. Not the President. Any president. Congress is home for Memorial Day recess next week, and they'll vote again when they return to DC in June. The Senate will vote, too. In the meantime, each day at war costs us hundreds of millions of dollars — from the federal budget and at the gas pump.
