Rapid AI adoption across U.S. companies is creating new areas of governance oversight—yet public disclosures suggest that related board structures and policies remain limited. A recent ISS STOXX review of 3,048 U.S. companies found, as of 2026: • 8% disclosed board-level AI oversight • 9% disclosed AI-related policies • 16% disclosed at least one director with AI skills For institutional investors, this type of information may support ongoing stewardship dialogues and help assess the level of transparency companies provide around emerging risk areas.
