Student at University College Dublin
This past semester, I had the opportunity to Study abroad at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. An experience that exceeded my expectations From navigating a new environment, education systems and building connections across new cultures, my time at UIUC challenged me to develop both academically and personally. During my time at UIUC, I studied Food Processing Engineering, Food Chemistry, Nutrition for Performance, Contemporary Nutrition, and Principles of Food Technologies. These modules further developed my understanding of the science behind food systems, from large-scale processing and product development to the biochemical foundations of nutrition and performance. Beyond academics, I built lifelong friendships, embraced campus life, and explored more of the U.S., visiting Chicago, Nashville, and Boston along the way. Each experience made the semester even more memorable. I am extremely grateful for this experience and everyone who supported me throughout the journey.
