“No AI slop.” Came across one of those AI images again today. A whale. Looked impressive at first. Then a bit off the longer I looked at it. What caught my attention wasn’t even the image. It was the reactions. Some people were immediately turned off. Others were genuinely impressed. But I’ve been noticing a shift. More and more people seem… tired of it. Not angry, just a bit done. The internet is starting to feel flooded with these images. And once you realize something is AI-generated, the interest drops almost instantly. Not always, but often. It starts to feel empty. Like there’s no weight behind it, no real intent. I don’t think it’s about AI vs human. It’s more about meaning. People can tell when something is just… generated.
