Today is results day for MAICSA (Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators), the Malaysian division and qualifying body of The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland and I’m deeply grateful (and relieved!) to share that I’ve successfully: πŸŽ“ Passed π‚π¨π«π©π¨π«πšππž π†π¨π―πžπ«π§πšπ§πœπž (taken in June 2024); and πŸŽ“ Passed 𝐑𝐒𝐬𝐀 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (taken in November 2025) With this, I have officially completed the Chartered Secretaries and Chartered Governance Professional programme and am now a graduate of the same, a meaningful milestone in my journey within the governance and secretarial profession. Balancing work, life and professional studies was not always easy. There were late nights, tight deadline and study sessions frequently β€œsupervised” (or interrupted) by my 3 furry babies. Still, the process reinforced the importance of discipline, resilience and commitment, values that sit at the heart of good governance and effective secretarial practice. I am sincerely thankful to those who supported me along the way; Farhana Zainuddin for generously sharing her notes, Athirah Azham, my study group partner, for the constant encouragement and Lilian Lee, for the helpful tips and guidance. While I’m proud of this achievement, I see it as one step in a longer professional journey. There is still much to learn and much room to grow as a practitioner committed to upholding good governance and sound secretarial practices. Looking forward to the next chapter; applying for Associateship and continuing to develop myself in the governance and secretarial profession. 🌱
