This World Ocean Day, we are celebrating signs of hope for the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale. Calving season recently ended with the highest number of births since 2009, with 23 mother-calf pairs documented by the research team at the Anderson Cabot Center for Ocean Life. For more than 28 years, we’ve been proud to partner with the New England Aquarium, based in Boston, MA, to support important research on the North Atlantic right whale. Over time, this work has contributed to data and research methods now used to study other marine life across the North Atlantic, helping scientists better understand and monitor health, reproduction and migration.
