The production process Kathy Trengove led for that effort became the template Iris uses for high-volume space-flight hardware manufacturing. Today, she's developing 650W cryocooler control electronics for next-generation dual-opposed split-Stirling cryocoolers. Cryogenic Society Of America’s magazine Cold Facts featured Kathy in its Women in Cryogenics issue, where she discussed both her work and the importance of creating visible pathways for future engineers entering the field.
