In a new blog post, our Co-Founder and CEO Jan Goetz argues that State of Quantum 2026 marks the moment the quantum industry grew up, not because of the headline numbers, but because of what they reveal about how serious institutions now buy. What he’s noticed: the buyers in this year's report have stopped asking how many qubits. They want to know if they can see inside the machine, integrate it with the systems they already run, and train their own people. One supercomputing director interviewed summed it up: " Nobody wants a black box in the middle of their ecosystem".
