Internal views at Coach Yard, Leyton, East London, highlight how glazing has been used as a precise design tool within a constrained urban infill scheme. Designed by Clear Architects, the development transforms a tightly defined brownfield site into a series of compact residential units. Rather than relying on large expanses of glass, the glazing strategy focuses on placement, using steel‑look doors and carefully positioned windows to draw natural light through each home and maintain visual connections to the available outdoor spaces. IQ Glass was appointed to design, supply and install the glazing package across the scheme. The systems were selected and detailed to complement the project’s industrial material palette while ensuring that light, openness and sightlines are preserved throughout the interiors. On projects like this, glazing is not about scale but precision. Window and door openings must work harder, balancing daylight, privacy and spatial flow within tight constraints. The result is a series of spaces that feel far more open and connected than the site footprint might suggest. Clear Architects Click here to see the full case study: https://lnkd.in/e-NzbBaN
