We would like to pay tribute to Morgan Spruce, who sadly and suddenly passed away on Sunday 19th April, following a short battle with cancer. Morgan was the Senior Asset Management Engineer with the Roads & Transport Directorate, where he dedicated himself to supporting councils across NSW to strengthen their asset management maturity. Over 16 years in local government, Morgan built an impressive career across many aspects of engineering including environmental and civil design, construction, project delivery, and asset management. He was deeply committed to helping organisations plan effectively and deliver sustainable services for their communities. The Asset Management Maturity Project saw Morgan travel around NSW connecting with councils and other external organisations, sharing his knowledge generously, and advocating strongly on their behalf. Morgan had a genuine passion for building capability in others, and he made a long lasting impact on the people and organisations he worked with. He will be remembered not only for his expertise and professionalism, but for his kindness, dedication, and the positive difference he made to so many. The perfect gentleman. Our thoughts are with Morgan’s family, friends, and past colleagues during this incredibly difficult time. A service will be held on Wednesday 6th May from 12pm in Mayfield West, full details can be found here - https://lnkd.in/gR4YRtJZ. The family warmly invites guests attending in a SES, RFS or Police capacity to wear their service uniforms, and all other guests are encouraged to wear smart attire in bright colours.
