🏆 Engineering Excellence Awards 🏆 At the 2026 Engineering Excellence Awards, Lockhart Shire Council won Category 1A - Design & Construction of a Public Works Project (Projects greater than $5 million), proudly partnered by JOCES, for their Lockhart Community Fitness Centre. The Lockhart Community Fitness Centre is a community-run facility developed by Lockhart Shire to provide local access to health and wellness services for residents and visitors. Prior to its establishment, residents had to travel more than 45 minutes to access the nearest fitness centre. Conveniently located near the hospital and Lockhart Aged Care, the centre offers 24-hour access and provides a welcoming space with modern fitness equipment for people of all ages and fitness levels, supporting the health and wellbeing of the local community. 📣 2027 Award Nominations Now Open Recognise the projects and people driving innovation, best practice, and excellence in public works by nominating them for the 2027 Engineering Excellence Awards.
