The answer is 3. At least 1 in 3 stroke survivors is never proactively told by their neurologist about post-stroke complications like spasticity. Yet mobility is one of the top priorities for stroke survivors. Muscle stiffness and weakness affect 38% of people after stroke—and for those living with spasticity, the daily impact is significant. Getting dressed. Moving around. Doing the things most of us don't think twice about. The good news? Increasing awareness can help people recognize symptoms and seek appropriate support. Neuroscience is one of Ipsen's three core therapeutic areas. Specialist nurses play a pivotal role in detecting it, managing it day to day, and ensuring patients are connected to the right support.
