It is a week of many bilateral meetings for the IPCC Chair Jim Skea at the #JuneClimateMeetings in Bonn. Yesterday, the IPCC Chair met with the Ethiopian Minister of Planning and Development, Fitsum Assefa Adela. The Ethiopian government is hosting the next IPCC Plenary Session in October this year and the COP32 in 2027. The IPCC Chair also had a meeting with the Brazilian Focal Point for IPCC and the newly elected Chair of the Technology Executive Committee of the UNFCCC, Pedro Ivo Ferraz da Silva.
