+++ 𝗶𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗢 𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗥𝗪𝗗 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝗺 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 +++ Yesterday, Bernat Navarro-Serer, PhD presented findings from the Friends of Cancer Research’s External Control Arm (ECA) pilot project at the ISPOR2026 poster session – sparking engaging discussions on the growing relevance of ECAs in oncology evidence generation. As part of this project, we applied a shared statistical analysis plan to data from our pancreatic tumor registry. The project aims to explore how ECAs can support evidence generation in oncology, which is highly relevant in settings where randomized trials are infeasible or difficult to conduct. First results confirmed the feasibility and revealed how eligibility criteria, data availability, and analytic choices can impact results.
