👋Andrew K. will retire as president and CEO of CIRO / OCRI in 2027 after leading the regulator and its predecessor, the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC), for more than a decade. A search for his successor is underway. During his tenure, Kriegler oversaw the merger of IIROC and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association of Canada — combining about 800 people, multiple technology systems and separate enforcement, compliance and policy functions. Under his leadership, CIRO also navigated last year’s major data breach, which impacted registrants and roughly 750,000 investors.
