This year marks fifty years since the 1976 Soweto uprising, when young students courageously asserted their right to equal education. At Investec, we recognise education as one of the most powerful enablers of inclusive and sustainable economic participation. When young people are equipped to succeed, they do more than transform their own lives – they help shape the future of our country. Our commitment reflects that we’re deeply invested in a core belief: SA’s long-term prosperity depends on developing skilled, qualified, and purpose-driven young people. Through sustained investment in initiatives such as Promaths, Invest-ED, Investec Bursary Fund, YES and learnership programmes, among others, we equip young people to shape a more inclusive, resilient and prosperous future for themselves and for SA.
