Every piece of art tells a story. Some tell the story of an entire family. We're honored to share the first featured artist in our 52 Views of Cancer initiative: Helen VanLith. After surviving ovarian cancer, Helen learned that an inherited ATM gene mutation had also been passed to her daughter, who was diagnosed with breast cancer, and later to her granddaughter, who is now researching cancer therapeutics. Her painting, Flowers for Two, honors the journey she and her daughter have shared and reflects her hope that future generations will face kinder, more effective treatments. Through 52 Views of Cancer, we're bringing the voices of cancer patients, survivors, and their loved ones directly into the hands of researchers and clinicians through a unique card deck of 52 original works of art. Read Helen's full story, explore the 52 Views of Cancer initiative, and, if you have a story to share through art, submit your own work. We're accepting submissions from cancer patients, survivors, and immediate family members around the world on a rolling basis until all 52 artists have been selected. https://lnkd.in/d2XApg5Z #52ViewsOfCancer #CancerResearch #PatientStories #ArtAndScience #CancerCommunity #Oncology #BreastCancer #CancerSurvivor
