Barbara Marcus is who we have to thank for many of the books we enjoyed as children. In celebration of World Book Day and #EarthMonth, we spotlight Barbara Marcus, a member of IWF New York. As the former President and Publisher of Penguin Random House Books for Young Readers, Barbara Marcus played a pivotal role in bringing many stories to life, including her involvement in publishing the works of Dr. Seuss. Dr. Seuss’ classic The Lorax continues to inspire conversations around environmental stewardship. We thank Barbara for encouraging creative storytelling for children. Women's Forum of New York
