INTERSOS, represented by its Head of Mission in Ukraine, Filippo Agostino, participated last week in Poland at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Gdańsk. The meetings, held from June 24 to 26, were attended by European Heads of State, the European Commission, representatives of institutions and civil society, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), and industry leaders. During the conference, €10 billion was pledged for the recovery of the country. On this line, in Ukraine, we are carrying out a collaborative project with the Ukrainian Ministry of Social Policy, funded by the Council of Europe Development Bank to repair doors and windows damaged by the conflict in the Kherson region, as well as refurbishing internally displaced people reception centers in Kharkiv to ensure they are welcoming and fully accessible for people with disabilities or reduced mobility.
