This NAIDOC Week marks 50 Years of Deadly - 50 years of strong culture, pride, resistance, and community-led leadership. At IWDA, we’re proud to stand in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. A few years ago, our staff voted to swap the 26 Jan public holiday for a day during NAIDOC week so we can take part of the celebrations. This week, we’ll take time to listen, learn and reflect on the strength, resilience and achievements of First Nations communities.
