Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority built SAFEPLAY – Africa's first regulator-led, multi-operator self-exclusion platform – and won the 2025 IAGR Regulatory Innovation Award for it. The idea is straightforward but powerful. Rather than letting individual operators manage their own exclusion lists, SAFEPLAY centralises oversight with the regulator. One platform.
