LATAM Airlines Group has grown to become one of the largest airlines in Latin America and is proud to serve as the host airline for this year’s #IATAAGM. According to CEO Roberto Alvo, the company’s financial success is driven by consistent operational execution, strong financial discipline, and, most importantly, a focus on passenger experience. Alvo highlights the untapped potential of the aviation market in the region; however, multiple structural challenges from macroeconomic volatility, complex regulatory frameworks, and a lack of infrastructure funding are currently limiting economic expansion. He is committed to making the aviation more sustainable and taking steps to reduce carbon emissions by 6% in 2030. Despite these challenges and a highly volatile market, LATAM approaches challenges with confidence and adaptability in order to thrive. Alvo remains confident that increased collaboration with governments and greater investment could support sustainable growth in the region.
