Stepping into the World Bank Group headquarters in Washington, D.C. today for the kickoff of the Fragility Forum 2026 ! 🌍 We are attending in person, it was incredibly powerful to be in the room as the opening session was led by the President of the World Bank Mr. Ajay Banga and the President of Mozambique Mr. Daniel Chapo, facilitated to perfection by Femi Oke. Their opening remarks set a vital tone for this year’s forum, centering on bold action and strategic partnerships to turn ambition into lasting impact in fragile, conflict-and-violence (FCV) affected settings. A few key takeaways from the opening discussions that resonated with i-APS team:🔹 Anticipating risks earlier is no longer optional—it is a necessity for sustainable development.🔹 We need to proactively support committed governments while driving deep engagement on job creation and economic opportunity.🔹 Investing in people and local resilience is the ultimate key to inclusive growth. Over the next few days, this year’s Fragility Forum 2026 will feature over 50 sessions and 300+ speakers tackling these complex global challenges. Are you attending, or following the forum virtually? We would love to connect and hear your thoughts on how we can better navigate and address the rising challenges in FCV contexts.
