In this Greenland retail case, one of the countryโs largest corporations suddenly found itself without a Director for its Retail Goods Division. The role was critical: supplying daily goods, consumer products and fuel across a vast Arctic market where distance, climate and cultural understanding all matter. Together with Danish partner Nextt & Mason, IMW helped shape a mandate that went beyond filling a temporary leadership gap. The challenge was to stabilise daily operations while preparing a promising internal candidate to take over the role in the long term. Within one week, Nextt & Mason presented three highly qualified candidates. Five days later, an agreement was reached. Two weeks after that, the interim Director started. The result was not only immediate leadership continuity, but also a successful succession process. The interim Director safeguarded operations, mentored the internal successor and helped create the confidence needed for a smooth transition.
