What does it take for IP practitioners and businesses to compete and thrive in an economy shaped by increasing complexity, regional growth, and AI?   At the inaugural IPOS–IP Practitioners Dialogue 2026 on 10 June, IP practitioners, policymakers and examiners came together to exchange perspectives on two areas at the heart of IP practice – examination and prosecution in patents and trade marks. We were honoured to have Minister Edwin Tong SC join us as our Guest-of-Honour, and share his perspectives on how technology is reshaping IP work.   Key takeaways for IP practitioners: 🤖 AI has, and will continue to, transform IP work, but the credibility of the system still rests on human judgement. 💪 With rapid development in the ASEAN region, there will be growing demand for practitioners who are able to operate across jurisdictions. 🤝 Continued engagement and collaboration among IP professionals is key to ensuring that Singapore’s IP regime remains relevant and effective.   We also marked IPOS's 25th anniversary, a milestone that reflects the strength of our longstanding partnership with the IP community in building Singapore into a globally respected and trusted IP hub.   #IPOS #Innovation #AI #IntellectualProperty #ASEAN
