Artificial intelligence is becoming our second brain. We ask it to summarize reports, write emails, solve equations and even plan our day. Are we slowly outsourcing our thinking? Studies in cognitive science show that when people rely heavily on digital tools, they tend to remember less information themselves. This is sometimes called the “Google Effect” — when we know information is easily accessible online, our brain spends less effort storing it. At the same time, technology has always changed how we use our brains. Calculators did not destroy math skills and GPS did not eliminate our ability to navigate. Instead, they shifted our focus to higher-level thinking. Will AI become a shortcut that weakens our cognitive muscles, or a powerful partner that helps us think deeper and faster? #FutureOfWork #DigitalTransformation
