The NSW Government is consulting on a proposed remake of the Sporting Injuries Insurance Regulation 2019 and is inviting feedback from the community, sporting organisations, businesses and government stakeholders. The proposal includes an increase to the funeral expenses benefit for sporting participants from $9,000 to $15,000, strengthening support for families affected by serious sporting injuries. Feedback will help ensure the Sporting Injuries Insurance scheme remains effective and continues to support safe and sustainable participation in sport across NSW.
