How We Work \\ Hands-On Engineering 💡 Recently, we welcomed a group of students from the collaborative Systems Engineering (Bachelor) program offered by Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften Kempten, Technische Hochschule Augsburg and Hochschule Neu-Ulm to our Instrument Systems office in Munich. During a tour of our facilities, the students gained insights into our production, alignment processes and shopfloor management. As part of a workshop, they conducted a value stream analysis and developed a value stream design for Instrument Systems, identifying optimization potential and creating a concept for a Kanban control system to improve material and information flows. The visit also included a live measurement demonstration in our R&D laboratory, where the students learned how modern display measurement technologies support product development and quality assurance. Topics ranged from spectral and color measurements to Single Pixel Control and Demura. As a highlight, they even analyzed the displays of their own smartphones. 🚀 Thank you for your visit and the engaging discussions.
