Islamic knowledge, i.e. education, began in Haramain Sharifin of Jajirat al-Arab (now Saudi Arabia) near Makkah Muajjima near Jabale Noor Garh Hera when the first word: ١- اقْرَأْ i.e., Proclaim ! (or Read !) of the first verse of the first sentance of Surah Al Alaq was revealed in the Holy Quran. “Hazrat's prophetic life begins with the subject of knowledge” (World Prophet: Poet Golam Mustafa). Noted that, an educational institution called Darul Arqam was built, which was the first educational center in the history of Islam, which was taught by Muhammadur Rasoolullah ﷺ  himself and the student was Jalilul Qadr Sahaba رضي الله عنه After the Hijrah, this educational center was shifted from Makkah Al Muajjima to Masjid Nabbi in Madinah Munwara and the adjoining Ashab in Suffa. Islamic education later expanded to Baitul Hikmah in Baghdad, Iraq, and Alhambra in Granada, Granada, Spain. As a result, Al-Azhar in Cairo, Egypt, Al-Qaraween Mosque-centered Madrasas in Morocco were established - which later became universities.
