Our team has grown considerably over the past year, and everyday business often leaves little time to genuinely connect and exchange ideas. โก๏ธ Between ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ผ๐ด๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฝ๏ธ, exploring our ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐บ ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ผ๐บ๐ผ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ฝ and ๐๐๐ถ๐บ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฅฝ, there was plenty of time to discuss the three large projects that are currently conducted within our institute: โด๏ธ Silke Adam, Ani Baghumyan, Andrea Barbieri, Charlotte Herentrey and Roman Winkelhahn have just closed their first survey on the interplay of social identity, marginalization and media use. Their aim is to set a new research agenda that bridges theory and empiricism on this timely topic. Franziska Barbara Keller, Ivan Formichev and Qian'ge LIU presented the latest insights into their research on expert networks in China, Russia and beyond. Their project takes on a broader scope that combines political, economic and media-related insights. โด๏ธ Mykola Makhortykh, Vihang Jumle, Maryna Sydorova and Victoria Vziatysheva discussed several studies they are currently conducting on the role of algorithms and artificial intelligence in the search of political and historical information, particularly information related to the Holocaust.
