Why is innovation so important in horticulture? Because the questions aren’t easy: 🔸 How do you use robotisation to tackle expensive, labour-intensive, and tedious work? 🔸How do you fight pests in ways that work with nature, not against it? 🔸 How do you grow food reliably when the climate keeps changing? Innovation doesn’t start with answers. It starts with getting the right people in the right places. Today, we did exactly that. Together with the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, we organised our yearly Hightech Horticultural Innovation Tour. In a fully packed bus with 55 people from Australia, Korea, Turkey, the UK and more, we visited four locations in South Holland. They each gave us a unique look behind the scenes at innovations that are genuinely working on these questions. To gain new insights, new connections, and hopefully grow ideas that cross borders.
