𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝’𝐬 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞. Today, more than 3,800 startups are active in South Holland. Only around 150 reach scale-up stage. That gap is not about ambition or technology and South Holland has no shortage of innovation. It’s about what happens when companies start to scale: hiring senior talent fast enough, raising larger rounds with higher stakes, finding production space, navigating regulation and complexity, and accessing customers and international markets.  And the ingredients are all here, but they don’t always connect when it matters most. That is why 'Founded in South Holland' is stepping forward to help startups and scale-ups move faster by making the ecosystem more visible, connected and easier to navigate in practice. It's a shared regional effort that builds on existing strengths, successful collaborations and best practices across the ecosystem. Built from the reality of founders who are scaling, Founded in South Holland focuses on where companies get stuck and what helps them move forward. The initiative is connected to Founded in the Northern Netherlands, together building a stronger environment for founders across regions in the Netherlands. We are proud to help strengthen this movement together with partners across the region.
