During the World Hydrogen Summit & Exhibition 2026 in Rotterdam Ahoy, LAUNCH₂ was officially launched: a new collaboration that helps companies navigate the regional hydrogen ecosystem more effectively. Because companies working on hydrogen innovation rarely have just one simple question. They may be looking for partners, knowledge, test facilities, infrastructure, funding or a place to scale. And in a region with so many initiatives, projects and areas of expertise, it is essential that companies quickly find the right people to speak to. That is why the Port of Rotterdam, the municipalities of Rotterdam and Schiedam, the Provincie Zuid-Holland, InnovationQuarter, TU Delft, TNO and Smart Delta Drechtsteden are joining forces in LAUNCH₂. LAUNCH₂ is designed to help questions land in the right place faster. Are you bringing an innovation, scale-up challenge or landing ambition to this region? LAUNCH₂ helps you find the right route: to partners, facilities, knowledge institutions and public organisations that can support your next step. As Mark Smith, Senior Business Developer at InnovationQuarter, puts it: "With LAUNCH₂, we aim to accelerate hydrogen developments in this region. We help companies find their place here faster, connect them to the right partners, facilities and knowledge, and reduce the time, risk and complexity involved in bringing hydrogen innovations to market. This allows them to focus on what really matters: building their business." With initiatives such as the Fieldlab Industrial Electrification pilot hall at SubZero Rotterdam and RIFT’s development of a circular iron fuel facility in Rotterdam, the region shows how collaboration can help accelerate the application and scaling of hydrogen innovations. LAUNCH₂ connects existing initiatives across the region more effectively, helping companies move faster from question to match, and from innovation to application. 👉 More information: www.launch2.nl Maarten Burggraaf (Drechtsteden) | Robert Simons (Gemeente Rotterdam) | Frans Hamerslag (Gemeente Schiedam) | Arne Weverling (Provincie Zuid-Holland) | Pauline Herder (TU Delft) | Lars Crama (InnovationQuarter) | Nico Van Dooren (Havenbedrijf Rotterdam) | Martijn Graaff, de (TNO) | Maaike Van Asten (Gemeente Rotterdam)
