Shu self-publishes his book, The Eye to the Whole During his final year at TIF, Shu completed The Eye to the Whole, a philosophical writing project about better understanding ourselves and the world around us. In Shu’s own words, the idea for the book came from realizing that he needed “a solid structure” to base his actions on, and wanting to get his worldview down on paper as something he could return to as a guide. Although the book explores philosophical ideas, Shu chose to present them in an abstract and imaginative style, with the hope of resonating with readers on both an intellectual and emotional level. From developing the concept and structure, to designing the cover, formatting the manuscript, and publishing the final book, Shu was diligent in his efforts and took ownership of the process from start to finish.
