๐Ÿš€ An inspiring and successful Open Innovation Day in Basel! Yesterday, we brought together startups, researchers, hospitals, clinicians and industry leaders from across the digital health ecosystem for the 2026 Open Innovation Challenge: #openEHR for clinical innovation. ๐Ÿ’ก Key takeaways: ๐Ÿ”น Open ecosystems outperform proprietary silos โ€“ interoperability enables collaboration, scalability and long-term sustainability. ๐Ÿ”น Data should be separated from applications โ€“ innovation becomes faster when developers can focus on clinical value instead of rebuilding infrastructure. ๐Ÿ”น Clinical adoption starts with clinical needs โ€“ successful solutions are co-created with clinicians and integrated into existing workflows. ๐Ÿ”น The future is platform-based โ€“ openEHR, shared data repositories and standardized APIs create the foundation for a new generation of healthcare applications. ๐Ÿ”น Innovation is not about building everything yourself โ€“ success comes from combining expertise across hospitals, startups, technology providers and researchers. ๐Ÿ™Œ Thank you to all participants, speakers and partners who helped make the event so dynamic and impactful. Weโ€™re excited to see the ideas and partnerships continue to develop throughout the next phase of the Challenge as participants prepare their project proposals for the validation phase. ย  You still can sign up and join the Challenge, we have two more webinars coming up and the project application deadline is 19 June! ๐Ÿ‘‰ Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/ePKDpyhc ย  We look forward to seeing innovative solutions move one step closer to real clinical implementation. โœจ A special thanks to Personalized Health Basel (PHB), University Hospital Basel, Better, x-tention, Tieto Caretech, and OWT - a Swisscom company for making this initiative possible. #DigitalHealth #Innovation #openEHR #Interoperability Yana Yoncheva | Ursula Costa | DayOne - Healthtech Innovation | Bram Stieltjes | Xabier Michelena Vegas | Kaisa Kauppinen | Timo de Vries | Philippe Hefti | Thomas Bรคhler | Raffaello Ferone | Cristina Golfieri | Ma.
