𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐬, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐛𝐢𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫!   Last week, our colleagues Peter Quaedflieg, Nicole Prieg, and Martin Schürmann attended the latest consortium meeting of the Horizon Europe Innovation Action ROBUSTOO, hosted by GECCO Biotech in Groningen.   ROBUSTOO is focused on demonstrating the industrial potential of oxidative biocatalytic processes using non-specific peroxygenases (UPOs), laccases, and hydroxymethylfurfural oxidases (HMFOs), providing greener production of chemicals and materials from biological origin.   As one of the industrial partners in the consortium, InnoSyn B.V. plays a key role in taking the enzymes identified and developed by the academic partners from the lab proof-of-principle to (pilot) plant demonstrations.   The consortium meeting brought new results and insights allowing InnoSyn B.V. to now step in with full speed to optimise and scale-up selected UPO reactions towards industrially relevant oxyfunctionalised products.   A big thank you to GECCO Biotech and all consortium partners for the inspiring discussions and good organization.
