How can coffee-producing countries prepare for the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)? 🌳 📅 Join us on 16 July for a DIASCA Dialogue with Hannelore Beerlandt, Head of Operations at the International Coffee Organization (ICO). She will share how the ICO’s Coffee Public-Private Task Force (CPPTF) is supporting producers to prepare for the EUDR. 🎯 The Task Force focuses on National Databases of Unique Geo‑references of Coffee Plots with the objective of establishing trusted national systems that securely store geospatial data on coffee plots and enable efficient data sharing with supply chain partners for EUDR compliance. To support this, CPPTF will consolidate Voluntary Guidelines to assist government and national and international multi-stakeholder processes. The guidelines will explore how national databases can support public-private data initiatives and will be built on existing guidance and tools while incorporating practical lessons learned from countries that are already developing and operating national coffee plot databases. The Voluntary Guidelines address: ✔️ strategic and policy considerations ✔️ the establishment of public-private governance and data management arrangements ✔️ interoperability with relevant datasets and systems ✔️sustainable business models ✔️mechanisms to ensure data quality and accuracy Join the dialogue and contribute your experiences and perspectives which will help to form the consolidation of the Voluntary Guidelines. 👉 Register here: https://lnkd.in/eewg5Xn8 #AgriculturalSupplyChains #deforestation #DPI #DPI4Agriculture #DIASCA
