At the ACPC Pichanaki Cooperative in Peru, farmers are showing what that looks like in practice: choosing methods that protect the soil today so there is still something good to harvest tomorrow, and building an organization where decisions are made by the people doing the work. Sustainable agricultural practices come down to producers who are equipped, organized, and able to plan ahead — not just for the next harvest, but for the next generation.
