Today, Robyn, our Programs & Advocacy Manager, ran topless at City2Surf, baring her mastectomy scars with “Flat Out of Funding” painted across her chest to raise awareness and funds for Inherited Cancers Australia (ICA). Through pouring rain, soaring winds, and a sea of people, this run was a bold statement impossible to ignore. This is what inherited cancer risk can look like: flat, strong, proud, unapologetic. Robyn ran to make inherited cancer risk, and the people living with it, seen and heard. To send a message of visibility, urgency, and the need for sustainable support. So ICA can continue to support, educate and advocate for families like hers. A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors and to everyone who showed up, cheered, donated, and backed Robyn’s run. Robyn’s run may have ended at the finish line, but our work is far from done. Don’t let the message stop here. Share it. Amplify it. Keep ICA running: https://lnkd.in/gTuGzy82 Special thanks to Robert Nixon from Sideline Media and Meg for beautifully capturing this moment and the important message it carries. #FlatOutofFunding #advocacy #BRCA #BRCA2 #fundraiser #RunWithPurpose #inheritedcancersaus Sarah Powell Lisa Caterina Robyn Smith Charlotte Durazza Carol Leung Gabrielle Reid Deborah Homewood (she/her) Lidia Valenzuela John Sheehy Warren Brandt Megan Pearson Laura Forrest Geoffrey Lindeman Joe Dusseldorp James Lynam Martha Hickey Emma Allanson Cath Shannon
