Aqui esta el #FridayInformer. Grab your cafecito. ☕ Three stories are currently shaping Hispanic media, marketing, and culture this week, here's what you need to know.: 🏆 Tu Cuentas Cafecito earns Telly Awards recognition The digital talk show picked up Silver and Bronze Telly Awards, signaling what many of us already know: audiences want authentic Hispanic storytelling that blends culture, conversation, and personal experiences—not stereotypes. At the heart of the program is host Raymond Arturo Pérez, a Los Angeles-based television writer. Pérez previously served as a staff writer on season two of Selena: The Series and has built a career focused on elevating Latino, queer and other underrepresented voices. 📺 Don Francisco is back on TV The legendary Chilean host behind Sábado Gigante is coming back to Univision with a limited series. For many Latino households, Don Francisco wasn't just a TV personality—he was part of nuestra familia cada Sabado. His return serves as a reminder that trusted cultural icons still hold tremendous influence across generations. Cue the next Marcello Hernandez skit on SNL. 🚗 Hyundai says "No Inventes"—and actually gets it right My Chilean mom's favorite expression to me has and will always be, "Ingrid - No Inventes, we are going home now." But, nonetheless, I always had to inventar. Hyundai's latest campaign for the 2026 Kona takes a phrase every Latino knows and flips it into a celebration of creativity, individuality, and self-expression. What stands out from this campaign than others? It was not simply translated into Spanish. It was built from us, incorporating our humor, language, fashion, music, and everyday expressions. 💡 My thoughts: The brands and media companies winning with Latinos aren't trying to "reach" the community anymore—they're creating with the community from the beginning.
