Reducing our supply chain carbon footprint together with our suppliers 🌍 We are acting as a role model and are committed to achieving our carbon neutrality goal by 2030 for our own factories and offices (Scope 1 & 2 emissions). Nevertheless, the reality is that the biggest part of our environmental impact comes from the materials, logistics, and manufacturing processes that lie within our supply chain. This is known as Scope 3 emissions. To address this, our science-based target requires that 72.5% of our supplier-related emissions are coming from suppliers who have set their own science-based target by 2029. This is an ambitious goal we can only achieve together. Recognizing suppliers with our Green Awards πŸŒΏπŸ† To motivate and celebrate suppliers setting such targets, we've established the Green Award. We recently handed over the Green Awards to our FY25 winners, two companies demonstrating what's possible when innovation meets environmental commitment. Lam Research – Best Performance: Through innovative equipment refurbishment and energy-efficient manufacturing processes, Lam Research shows how circular economy principles deliver both environmental and business value, saving hundreds of tons of CO2, millions of liters of water, and significant costs. Their 1.5Β°C-aligned climate target sets the gold standard. GlobalWafers Co., Ltd. – Best Improvement: In just three years, GlobalWafers has transformed their sustainability approach – from joining RE100 to achieving official Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitment, accelerating renewable energy targets, and delivering certified product carbon footprints. These suppliers prove that ambitious climate action and business success go hand in hand. Their leadership paves the way for our entire supplier network.
