Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team delivered a strong result, with George Russell securing P2, while Kimi Antonelli was running in P2 before a late battery failure forced his retirement. Over at Netcompany INEOS Cycling Team, Sam Welsford secured a hard-fought 3rd place at the Copenhagen Sprint in the team’s first participation in the race. Tour Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes proved a challenging race, but Carlos Rodríguez was able to put in a gritty climbing performance to finish sixth on the final stage, with the team also finishing second in stage 3’s team time trial. Looking ahead, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team head to the Austrian Grand Prix this weekend, while the cycling team turn their focus to the Tour de Suisse this week ahead of next month’s Tour de France.
