A strong workforce begins with strong collaboration between industry and academia. According to Dr. Usha Bhandari, TVET/Skill Development at Swisscontact, one of the biggest challenges in higher education is the gap between what students learn and the competencies employers need. When industry has limited involvement in academia, graduates often enter the workforce without the practical skills required by the labour market. The Industry Integrated Degree is designed to help bridge this gap by bringing industry and academia together to prepare students with relevant knowledge, practical experience, and industry-ready competencies.
