We are at a turning point on how the eu will evolve. We need to take a value chain approach with Made in Europe at the heart of a proactive industrial policy. We must be open to the world but leverage our internal market better» 🔹Sylvie Lemoine « A lot has been done on paper but we don’t feel it on the ground. The situation is worsening: trade pressure, security threats. There has been Sixfold increased closures in the last 4 years. Close to 10% of capacity closed. We need to have a broader concept of security that covers production and value chains » 🔹Judith Kirton-Darling « We have two roads infront of us : one with old recepies that have proven to be infective and with austerity policies that undermine European industries further The second road, which we can’t see all the way down, has a proactive industrial policy, a made in europe agenda and an important promise of quality jobs for the workforce international cooperation » Europe and its workers need Investment not blank cheques and they must come with Social conditionalities attached!
