More than 200 Aboriginal Land and Sea Rangers came together on Peramangk Country for South Australia’s first Aboriginal Land and Sea Ranger Conference. Rangers who joined the program had the opportunity to inspire and lead the new rangers in their roles, sharing pride for Aboriginal culture while inspiring the next generation to care for Country. The conference also showcased collaborative work to manage feral animal populations and strengthen biosecurity, protecting native wildlife and restoring ecosystems across land and sea. Cultivating strong mentors, shared knowledge and collective action ultimately helps shape a future where everyone can thrive on Country.
